Les Enceintes Acoustiques Unisson Receives Funding From the Government of Canada to Increase Productivity and Market Share


SAINT-ROCH-DE-L'ACHIGAN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 15, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Les Enceintes Acoustiques Unisson Inc. has been awarded financial assistance from the Government of Canada to make a strategic move towards an improved production process and implement a commercialization strategy on markets abroad.

"The Government of Canada's assistance will enable Enceintes Acoustiques Unisson to acquire high-performance equipment and develop the tools it needs to diversify its markets," said Minister Lebel.

Les Enceintes Acoustiques Unisson Inc., which operates in the metal products sector, specializes in the design, manufacture and installation of stages and aluminium structures, offering professionals in the show business and architectural sectors a wide range of services and innovative products.

To improve productivity, the company is taking a number of important steps, including reconfiguring its plant, acquiring leading-edge equipment and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software package, as well as implementing Value-Added Production (PVA) principles. At the same time, in order to increase international sales, the company designed a commercialization strategy targeting markets in Mexico, Honduras, Brazil, the Caribbean and the northeastern United States. Ultimately, Les Enceintes Acoustiques Unisson will be able to stay ahead of the game technologically and to use this trump card to bolster its growth.

This $141,500 repayable contribution has been awarded under Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program, an initiative aimed at strengthening the conditions conductive to the sustainable growth of Quebec's regions and small and medium-sized enterprises.
