Let's Start Something Beautiful! Wines of France Partners With America the Beautiful Fund

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 13, 2005 -- Wines of France has joined forces with America the Beautiful Fund (ABF) to help keep the U.S., well...beautiful! ABF, a volunteer organization with a mission to preserve the natural wonders of America, distributes seeds -- free of charge -- to grow food for the hungry and flowers to beautify parks, roadways and neighborhoods across the country. This year marks the 25th anniversary of ABF's "Operation Green Plant" program, and Wines of France is pleased to lend its support for this initiative with a $40,000 donation.

"French wine producers are renowned for preserving their land as it plays such an important role in producing distinctive, quality wines and are proud to support ABF as they share a similar respect for tradition," said Michel Pons, director of Wines of France. Nanine Bilski, President of America the Beautiful Fund, added, "We are very grateful for Wines of France's generous contribution. Not only does it greatly help our efforts, but also it shows a tremendous commitment by the French wine industry to strengthen ties over a common philosophy."

As part of the "Operation Green Plant" program, Wines of France is distributing 15,000 free seed packets during wine tastings this spring at retail stores across the country. And, as 2005 also marks the 40th anniversary of the America the Beautiful Fund, Wines of France was proud to provide a selection of delicious and dynamic French wines for a reception held on May 24th at historic Mount Vernon, George Washington's home, following an all-day forum celebrating the fund's first forty years. During the reception, Greg Deligdisch, Vice President & Director of Marketing at Sopexa USA, was pleased to present a giant check -- representing Wines of France's contribution -- to Nanine Bilski.
