ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - August 21, 2014) - Mary Ellen McClanahan, Director of Entrepreneur and Small Business Development for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, was featured on the July 29, 2014 episode of Let's Talk Small Business to discuss the state's new small business initiative.

Mary Ellen McClanahan has been working for the state of Georgia for over 17 years, with the last ten years being focused on small business development. She spoke in her interview with Business RadioX about how Georgia had over 60 programs to assist with tech businesses, but hardly any programs to assist with entrepreneurs of small businesses.

"I created what we call the Entrepreneur Friendly Program," explained McClanahan. "Our focus is to provide the best resources for small businesses to help local leaders thrive in the business world."

McClanahan dedicates her work to supporting small businesses in the Georgia community by helping develop, plan, and mentor leaders. She is also an Existing Industry Project Manager in the Metro Atlanta region.
