Levittown Dentist Attends Align Tech Faculty Meeting in Phoenix

LEVITTOWN, NY--(Marketwired - January 31, 2015) - Dr. David Ostreicher attended an Align Tech faculty meeting in Phoenix this month to discuss the latest developments in Invisalign techniques.

The faculty meeting, which was the first of 2015, was held Jan. 14-18. Dr. Ostreicher is an Align Tech Institute trainer and lectures nationally on Invisalign to dentists and orthodontists.

Align Tech was founded in 1997 and was cleared by the FDA in 1998 to begin marketing Invisalign clear teeth aligners. Three year after its FDA approval, Align has manufactured one million clear aligners. Today, Invisalign is one of the top choices for adults and teens looking for straighter teeth without the embarrassment of traditional metal braces.

"I make a point to attend each of these meetings to assure my patients that they're receiving the most up-to-date care," Dr. Ostreicher said. "During these faculty meetings, we discuss ways to improve Invisalign care and review the latest information and studies available in orthodontic treatment."

In addition to Invisalign, Dr. Ostreicher provides Acceledent for patients looking for speedy results. Dr. Ostreicher also offers Streamlign Clear, less-noticeable braces that patients are using to get straight smiles in about six months.

Dr. Ostreicher is the inventor of the Vibralign Accelerated Orthodontic System that is used to cut Invisalign treatment time in half. The simple and affordable device is shaped like a bite guard, and patients use it twice a day for 15 minutes. In addition to speeding up treatment, Vibralign reduces the discomfort that comes with tooth movement during Invisalign treatment.

Dr. Ostreicher has practiced orthodontics in Levittown, NY., for 35 years and has published two books on orthodontics and oral health: "Brush Your Teeth! And Other Simple Ways to Stay Young and Healthy" and "7 Reasons to Straighten Your Teeth." He provides orthodontic solutions for teens and adults, as well as early preventive treatment for children.

Dr. Ostreicher graduated with honors from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, where he earned a certification in orthodontics. He then earned a master's degree in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. He is professor emeritus of public health at the University of Bridgeport and is the former president of the New York State Dental Association. He currently holds memberships with the American Dental Association, American Public Health Association, Honorary Dental Society and the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Ostreicher also served several years as a board of director for Nassau County Dental Society.

While Dr. Ostreicher is one of the country's foremost Invisalign provider and lecturer, he is dedicated to continuing education, accumulating more than three times the required hours every year.
