Attention: Business/Financial Editor, News Editor, Tech/Telecomm Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 15, 2010) - LexisNexis Canada, a leading provider of information and services solutions to law firms and corporate, government and academic professionals, today introduced LexisNexis® Managed Technology Solutions to help law firms, businesses and other organizations lower the risk of business disruption by protecting mission-critical data and servers in a cost-effective manner. To offer these solutions, LexisNexis Canada has established an alliance with Geminare Inc., a pioneer in Recovery as a Service (RaaS), a growing sector that uses the cloud (an off-site, privately hosted data centre) as an on demand, flexible resource for managed, hosted services such as business continuity, disaster recovery, storage, and backup.

The new Managed Technology Solutions include LexisNexis® Cloud Recovery for business continuity; and PCLaw? Cloud Backup, a fast, secure and fully automated way for PCLaw customers to back up database files and other data to the cloud. Customers can deploy the solutions rapidly-typically in a matter of hours-and obtain a substantial and accelerated return on investment. LexisNexis Managed Technology Solutions are hosted in a Canadian-based, top-tier data centre, ensuring maximum security, reliability and availability.
