Libeo Ranks No. 119 on the PROFIT 500 List

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 3, 2013) - For the second year in a row, Libéo has made it onto the annual list of Canada's 500 fastest-growing companies compiled by the prestigious PROFIT: Your Guide to Business Success magazine. The Quebec City-based firm specializing in web solutions ranked in 119^th position on the Canadian list and was 14^th among the Quebec companies.

The firm is behind the design and development of several large-scale websites, including one for CAA-Québec. On May 26, during the OCTAS awards ceremony organized by Réseau Action TI, Libéo and SAGA won the award in the Cultural, educational and media sector category for their innovative 6millionsdemorts.com project. The concept is an integral part of an extensive campaign aimed at raising awareness among youth of the dangers of tobacco use. The two firms also received the prestigious OCTAS for Excellence award presented to the winner whose project had set itself apart the most among the 23 award-winning projects.

The 6millionsdemorts.com campaign combines video and gaming in a fully interactive concept enabling young people between the ages of 12 and 25 to better understand the full impact of tobacco consumption. The young spectators are drawn into in a story set in a murky and mysterious world, participating until the end when they discover the final denouement. The campaign marked a Quebec milestone in technological terms when it was launched.

These two OCTAS are the fourth and fifth to be awarded to Libéo over a period of just three years. Last year the firm earned top honours in the Learning Environment category for its Moodle DECclic III project and two more in 2011 in the categories B2C general public e-commerce and Business solutions - Free software for the creation of Touchbox, a comprehensive online ticketing system implemented notably at the Quebec City IMAX theatre.
