Following the tremendous success of last year's Gala, The Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta is honoured to host its second annual The Beat Goes On Gala on Saturday, September 12, 2015. The evening will feature an intimate performance by internationally renowned Juno Award winning artist Jesse Cook and a gourmet menu created by the Stampede's Executive Chef, Derek Dale. Proceeds from this year's gala will support research that will enhance care for children born with heart conditions as they transition to adulthood, as well as the broader area of cardiovascular health promotion and disease prevention.

"The Libin Institute is the epitome of a world-class facility and what it provides is not only beneficial for Calgarians, but for the world," says Ken King, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Calgary Flames and gala co-chair/emcee. "I am really looking forward to this philanthropic evening that results such innovative and life-saving initiatives."

Through its leadership and support from the community, the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta has developed and or/implemented leading edge medical technology throughout Calgary. "It has been over a decade since I received cardiac care from members at the Libin Institute and after receiving such incredible assistance and recovery, I believe in what it does and I am so thrilled to be a part of the gala again."
