Lice Aunties Opens New Treatment Center in Burlington

Provides Guaranteed, One-and-Done Lice Treatments Using FDA-Cleared Medical Device

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwired - July 21, 2016) - Lice Aunties, a locally owned and operated professional head lice removal company, has opened its second location in Burlington, MA. Lice Aunties offers head lice screening and guaranteed, one-and-done lice treatments.

Head lice can cause stress and embarrassment for families. In the US, more than six million people per year get infested. But thanks to the opening of Lice Aunties, families no longer have to worry about the daunting prospect of attempting to treat the pesky bugs themselves.

Lice Aunties provides screening, diagnosis and treatment options for families struggling with head lice. The Lice Aunties are certified operators of the AirAllé, an FDA-cleared medical device that kills head lice and lice eggs using controlled heated air. Lice Aunties are a preferred provider of the AirAllé.

This is the second location opened by owner Julie Weiman. She founded Lice Aunties in 2008 as a mobile business and opened her first treatment center, in Newton Upper Falls, in 2012.

Julie came up with the concept of Lice Aunties after experiencing an epic lice infestation with her then-first grade daughter. "As Lice Auntie's reputation for excellence spread, the business grew," said Julie. "Families love the relaxed and supportive environment, play area for children, free WiFi and the realization that the other families there are all in the same situation."

Julie has an MBA, a decade of management consulting experience, and many years partnering alongside her serial entrepreneur husband, Peter. But most importantly, Julie is a mom who understands the frustration and stress head lice brings into a family.

Lice Aunties in Burlington is located at 83 Cambridge Street. It is open seven days per week, by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling 617.901.0620. Head checks are $25 and that fee is waived if the person has lice and it is treated at Lice Aunties. AirAllé treatments take about 90 minutes, and come with a 30-day guarantee when all family members are treated or screened for head lice.

The new Lice Aunties clinic is one of 100 U.S. clinics in the Lice Clinics of America network.

With clinics in more than 20 countries, Lice Clinics of America (www.LiceClinicsOfAmerica.com) is the largest network of professional head-lice-treatment centers in the world. Lice Clinics of America and AirAllé (www.airalle.com) are brands owned by Larada Sciences, Inc.
