LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 29, 2016) - Lieberman Software Corporation today announced new capabilities that integrate the company's Privileged Identity Management (PIM) platform, Enterprise Random Password Manager™ (ERPM), with Okta's market leading authentication and security platform. The integration provides secure SSO that allows only authenticated users to access the powerful privileged credentials managed by ERPM. Lieberman Software is exhibiting this new technology in booth 26 at Oktane 16 in Las Vegas this week.
ERPM automatically locates, secures and audits access to privileged accounts throughout the enterprise -- whether on-premises or in the cloud.
In addition to demonstrating how Okta can be used as a secure authenticator for ERPM, Lieberman Software is also showcasing two single function applications that enhance the Okta SSO service: the Password Reset Credential Provider and the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Credential Provider.
"Lieberman Software is in the business of securing privileged passwords and Okta is in the business of securing authentication for every user," said Jonathan Sander, VP of Product Strategy for Lieberman Software. "The fit between the two platforms is obvious. We've been helping them out with ways to secure their access through our credential providers. This new direction where we use their portal to secure our platform lets them return the favor."
Password Reset Credential Provider
The Okta Password Reset Credential Provider, customized by Lieberman Software, solves a common problem for end-users: the need to reset passwords or unlock accounts from the Windows desktop. This self-service password reset feature directs users to their corporate Okta SSO page. From there they can securely reset their credentials from any browser, without involving the Help Desk.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Credential Provider
Lieberman Software and Okta also partnered to provide a best-of-breed Multifactor Authentication solution for Window Server Authentication. To gain access to their Windows systems, users are prompted for one of five possible factors when they login. The MFA Credential Provider adds an additional layer of security by prompting users to authenticate with something they know (such as a username and password) along with something they have (such as an Okta Verify password).
