What: A tour for His Honour of one of the most important hubs in the Canadian veteran community, the Tony Stacey Centre for Veterans Care. The not-for-profit Centre, named for Tony Stacey, the World War II Sergeant who fought tirelessly to found it and who died almost a year-and-a-half ago, is located in Toronto and accepts veterans from across Canada. It is distinguished by the fact that it is the only veterans' long term care facility that accepts non-serving spouses of veterans, non-overseas veterans, veterans of conflicts post Korea and peacekeepers.

Who: The Honourable James K. Bartleman, Lieutenant Governor Of Ontario, visiting with residents and staff of The Tony Stacey Centre. His Honour to be escorted by TSC's Executive Director Catherine Hilge and resident Doug Hallman along with other residents, staff members, volunteers and board members.

When: November 10, 1:30pm through the facility and in the dining area.

Where: The Tony Stacey Centre, 59 Lawson Road, Toronto, Ontario, M1C 2J1

Why: In celebration of veterans in this season as our thoughts turn to their sacrifice and as the Tony Stacey Centre works towards a facility that meets the increasing needs of our current veterans and those TSC will serve in future years.

Additional: Please note, a Remembrance Day service, to honour our heroes, will take place at the Tony Stacey Centre for Veterans Care on November 11th at 7:30pm. Government officials are scheduled to attend.
