LifeStorage Opens Six New Self Storage Facilities Across Chicagoland

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - November 30, 2010) - LifeStorage Centers, LLC announced the opening of six new self-storage centers across the Chicagoland area, bringing the company's total number of stores in the region to 16.

The new centers are located in Rogers Park (Chicago), Algonquin, Carpentersville, Elgin, Matteson, and South Chicago Heights. The new locations join existing urban Chicago centers in Hermosa, Humboldt Park, Little Village, South Loop, and Wrigleyville, as well as existing suburban locations in Addison, Aurora, Bridgeview, Libertyville, and Morton Grove.

LifeStorage Centers are Chicagoland's fastest-growing solution to indoor, climate-controlled self storage. These modern facilities feature drive-in and drive-thru bays, 365-days-a-year access, office suites, records storage, document destruction, mailboxes, loading docks, digital surveillance cameras and on-site managers. There's even Starbucks coffee on the house in each center's warm and welcoming lobby.

LifeStorage was founded in 2002 by owners Jean Jodoin and Christopher Barry, who set out to not only improve the image of self-storage, but to become the leader and innovator of unique yet affordable self-storage solutions. "We are bringing self-storage to a new level of excellence by providing indoor facilities that are cleaner, climate-controlled, and more secure," said Barry. "We insist on outstanding customer service and a corporate-wide dedication to being better than the competition. We choose our sites carefully, hire only customer-focused store managers, and create the ambience of our centers to reflect the LifeStorage brand."

"The opening of these six new stores represents a major step forward for LifeStorage Centers, LLC," added Jodoin. "By expanding into these new markets in the city and suburbs, we are able to reach an entirely new set of customers who are looking for high-quality storage solutions at an affordable price. In this economy, many people are turning to self-storage when downsizing or de-cluttering their homes in order to sell them. We have found that the market for self-storage has only increased in recent years and is continuing to advance."

LifeStorage Centers actively participate in many community events within their city and suburban neighborhoods, including Halloween Trunk or Treat programs and Toys for Tots. Each year at the holidays, several LifeStorage Centers also offer free gift-wrapping services. In April 2011, when moving season is in full swing, LifeStorage plans to invite its neighbors to celebrate the official opening of its new stores by hosting a charity "Clean Out for the Cause" event at all store locations.
