The collaboration pairs the Socket Bluetooth® Cordless Hand Scanner™ (CHS) Series 7 barcode scanners with the LightSpeed for iPad application. The application, which has already generated thousands of downloads since its release, allows retailers to quickly scan items to check inventory, show more detail, and complete point-of-sale transactions without ever leaving the customers' side.

The CHS 7Ci -- certified for the Apple iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod® touch -- is the newest in Socket's line of Bluetooth cordless handheld barcode scanners. Positioned at a lower price point than other scanners in the series, the CHS 7Ci is a 1D imager-based linear barcode reader that can decode both printed barcodes and barcodes displayed on device screens.
