Lincoln Military Housing Announces 2014 Partner of the Year Award

Navy and Marine Partners Win Award for Their Support of Military Families

RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2015) -  For a third year, Lincoln Military Housing presented its Partner of the Year award to Navy or Marine Corps Housing team members who excel as a liaison between the PPV's (Public-Private Venture) residents and military commands. This year's winners are Navy Family Housing Counselor Suzanne Doherty, of Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, and Regional RPP Coordinator Michael Lipscomb, of Naval District Washington.

These individuals serve as an advocate for the service member and their family when housing issues arise. Each nominee is chosen based on criteria such as having excellent communication, exhibiting a positive attitude, being a team player, being dependable, having effective problem-solving skills, and willingness to go the extra mile for our military families.

"Suzanne Doherty is the definition of 'partner,' making sure resident satisfaction and occupancy are top priority. She has gone the extra mile working diligently with her team, and the site manager to handle any resident questions or needs," says the Lincoln Military Housing team in Little Creek.

"Michael Lipscomb consistently comments about how his number one priority is to do his job right, making things better for our military families, and our partnership. When working with Michael, you cannot help but find that his attitude and excitement for the job is contagious! Last summer, Navy Housing had a vacant position at Annapolis during the busiest time of the year. Michael helped to fill in for this position temporarily while still fulfilling his other regional responsibilities. He immediately brought a sense of team work with the entire staff, ensuring that he was providing customer service to both customers and all employees in the office. We appreciate Michael and all that he did to ensure we ended our busy season with success," says the Lincoln Military Housing team in Annapolis.

Nominees for the Lincoln Military Housing Partner of the Year Award are selected by Lincoln Military Housing employees that work alongside these exemplary men and women. The award is in its third year and presented each winter at the annual Gold Medallion awards.
