Lincoln Military Housing Announces the 2015 Partner of the Year Award

Navy Partners From Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads and Naval Support Facility Dahlgren Win Award for Their Support of Military Families

ANNAPOLIS, MD--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2016) - For the fourth year, Lincoln Military Housing, a Military Housing Privatization Initiative Partner, presented its Partner of the Year award to the Navy and/or Marine Corps Housing team members who excel as a liaison between Lincoln Military Housing residents and local military commands.

The 2015 award winners are Housing Management Specialist, Denise Elliot, of Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, and Housing Installation Site Director, Sheila Taylor, of Naval Support Facility Dahlgren.

These individuals serve as an advocate for the service member and their family and work hand in hand with the Lincoln Military Housing team to ensure our military families receive outstanding service. Each nominee is chosen based on criteria such as having excellent communication, exhibiting a positive attitude, a team player, dependable, effective problem-solving skills, and the willingness to go the extra mile for our military families.

Denise is both a valuable resource for our families and the Lincoln Military Housing team. "The manner in which Denise is both an advocate for our service families and a resourceful partner is simply amazing," said the Lincoln Military Housing team in Hampton Roads. She is very quick to provide on-the-spot support with home visits, reaching out to command, scheduling various meetings, and much more. Denise, a military spouse herself, is dedicated to providing support to military families and ensuring they are educated on programs available to them. "Denise's heart is always in the right place. She truly cares about our families and always does what is right, not just what is needed or merely wanted," said the Lincoln Military Housing team in Hampton Roads.

Since 2005, Sheila has worked alongside Lincoln Military Housing at Dahlgren. She once served as Lincoln Military Housing's Resident Manager at Dahlgren and the team is honored to continue to work alongside her as she serves as our government partner. Shelia has incredible knowledge of the homes, the area, and the installation. "Her personality and demeanor is unlike any other, having her as our partner only strengthened our partnership and team. The referral process and resident interaction is truly seamless at Dahlgren," said the Lincoln Military Housing team in Dahlgren. With Sheila's knowledge of Lincoln's policies and procedures, she is able to help as if she still wears the Lincoln badge. It is the truest form of partnership.

Nominees for the Lincoln Military Housing Partner of the Year Award are selected by Lincoln Military Housing employees that work alongside these exemplary men and women. The award is presented each year at the annual Gold Medallion ceremony.
