Lincoln Military Housing Delivers Holiday Cheer for Military Families

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 23, 2013) - The holidays are a magical time of year for many. With the promise of presents under the tree, family visits, and time off to spend with loved ones, this time of year brings good cheer and the promise of an exciting New Year. With this in mind, Lincoln Military Housing (LMH) and Trees For Troops have worked together to create a memorable holiday experience for military families in the San Diego area. The recent festivities began with a visit to a specially designated tree lot, where LMH residents were able to select real, farm-raised, natural Christmas trees for their residences. Any accompanying children were treated to a light up toy -- compliments of LMH staffers. Help was on hand to tie Christmas trees to car roofs, and entertainment, snacks, and water was provided to create a wonderful experience for all.

These incredible events were facilitated by the long-standing collaboration between Lincoln Military Housing in San Diego and Trees For Troops. Trees For Troops has been sponsored by The Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEx for years, and seeks to create a more fulfilling holiday experience for service members and military families. These generous benefactors also provided a gift area at the event that rewarded children with four toys each!

This year, the Christmas Spirit Foundation will deliver over 16,000 Christmas trees to military families across the nation. The collaboration among Lincoln Military Housing, The Christmas Spirit Foundation, Trees For Troops, and FedEx is helping to provide long lasting holiday memories for so many of our valued military families.
