Lincoln Military Housing Makes Generous Donation to Navy SEAL Foundation

Armed Forces Day Fundraiser Helps Drive Over $20,000 to Navy SEAL Foundation

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 27, 2013) - On May 18th, 2013, the 5th annual "Barona Race Day Salute to the Military" event took place in Lakeside, CA. This incredible event was held at the 1/8-mile Barona Race Track and was a private event for Lincoln Military Housing (LMH) residents from the San Diego area. LMH residents could attend at no charge and were able to enjoy high-speed drag racing action, lunch, kid's activities, family photos, and commemorative T-shirts.

The Salute To The Military theme was on display during a moving, mid-day ceremony that was held to honor the sacrifice of military members and their families. This event included a color guard presentation by the Michael A. Monsoor Battalion of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and a touching rendition of our National Anthem.

Lincoln Military Housing is excited and proud to be able to donate over $20,000 that was raised during the Barona event to the Navy SEAL Foundation. Sponsorship money, proceeds from various Lincoln Military Housing fundraisers, water bottle recycling programs, T-shirt sales, door prize ticket revenue, and a generous donation from Barona Racetrack helped to fund this donation. The donation was made during the holidays, which is a time when many charitable organizations need the most help. With so many amazing donors and sponsors to thank, Lincoln Military Housing is proud to have delivered the check on behalf of an incredible number of supporters.
