Linda Loudermilk to Provide Unique Fashion Show at Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 8, 2005 -- The Fourth Annual Butterfly Ball benefiting Chrysalis will commence this year with a show stopping fashion production by luxury eco designer Linda Loudermilk and a team of top industry professionals. The ball, which takes place at a private Italian villa in Bel Air on April 9, is a fundraiser for the non-profit organization, Chrysalis, which helps economically disadvantaged and homeless people to find jobs. Celebrities who are attending include Chris Kattan, Martin Lawrence, Keifer Sutherland, Tim Allen, Ice Cube, Brett Ratner, Chris Tucker, Tony Hale, David Boreanaz, Bai Ling and Carla Gallo.

Loudermilk, who is devoted to raising awareness of the environment, enjoys lending her talents to causes that empower people, too. As the founder of the luxury eco Social Network, she has named her clothing label "luxury eco by Linda Loudermilk." Her spring '05 collection was inspired by the birds and air, with the theme "Who Will Nurture the Earth?" running through it. Her fall '05 collection draws upon the images of sea creatures, with wavy edges, jellyfish prints and rich colors that are reminiscent of the world below water. She uses sustainable and recycled fabrics, such as bamboo jersey, organic cotton and Eco-Spun (from recycled plastic bottles).

"If we can all become more aware of how everything we do affects everything and everyone else, we'll make better choices," said Loudermilk, who designed the Hope Series as part of her fall collection with prints of acclaimed photographer Steve McCurry's images because, "I want to remind people of the soul connection between all of us."

Like everything Loudermilk does, the Chrysalis fashion show will be theatrical, fun and unique. Renowned choreographers Candy Brown and Stephan Miermont join theater producer Aaron Belliston in creating dance inspired show. Miermont is also directing. Even the music has been especially created by sought after west coast DJ Rodolfo Juarez for this Broadway-style fashion show.

Victor Alegria, whose clients include Nikki and Paris Hilton, Maria Bello and Sarah McLauchlin, will style the dancer/models. Hair styles will be created by Fred Segal Beauty, headed by Eli Thompson and make-up will be done by make-up artists from both the Cloutier Agency and experts from MAC cosmetics headed by Cool Benson. Sergio Rossi is providing shoes for the models to wear.
