LineStream Technologies Primed for Growth and Expansion With Launch of Groundbreaking InTAC™ Control Technology

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - Jun 22, 2011) - LineStream Technologies Inc, an innovator of software-based control solutions for the manufacturing industry, today announced the commercial availability of its InTAC™ tuning and control technology that was first developed in the labs of Cleveland State University. Emerging from a proof-of-concept phase, LineStream is addressing the $10-billion opportunity to advance the standard control methods that have been stagnant for more than 50 years.

"The launch of LineStream's InTAC solution represents a home-grown technology innovation that will bring new jobs to the area, as we look to add software design, control engineering, and marketing talent," said Dave Neundorfer, President of LineStream. "The energy efficiency that InTAC enables is already generating significant interest among Fortune 500 partners -- and we are confident the seamless integration of the InTAC solution will make it a must-have solution across the manufacturing sector."

The company also said it expects to announce its first major corporate customer at a local event July 12.

LineStream is bringing industrial control technology into the 21st century with a solution that actively rejects process disturbances before they degrade system performance and waste energy, as often happens currently even in state-of-the-art facilities. Manufacturing processes are plagued by variables such as material inconsistencies, ambient temperature swings, and vibrations and frictions. With LineStream's innovation, they are neutralized in real-time before they do harm.

Superior to current control technology, InTAC-embedded software eliminates the time-intensive calibration or "tuning" process that is regularly required to achieve desired performance with today's control standard. With InTAC, manufacturers can quickly realize and sustain optimized performance and substantially reduced energy consumption of as much as 50 percent with a simple software implementation.

"LineStream is poised for rapid growth as a competitive weapon for industrial manufacturing due to its transformational technology and incredibly scalable business model," said Jim Petras, partner at Early Stage Partners, a Cleveland-based venture capital firm. "Under Dave's leadership, LineStream will address opportunities across a wide spectrum of industries and products that rely on control technology, a building block of everything that is automated."

In-Field Testing and Validation

Validating the software ease of implementation and energy efficiency benefits, LineStream recently completed a plant-wide installation at a Parker Hannifin hose-extrusion facility in Ravenna, Ohio. The results were immediate according to Parker Hannifin General Manager Mark Gagnon who stated that power meter readouts "looked like they fell off a cliff, reducing power consumption by 57 percent." Since installation, InTAC has been running uninterrupted for 10 months without any follow-on tuning.

"The implementation was simple," according to Gagnon. "We sent LineStream our program, and then they showed up and installed the InTAC program during a shift changeover. LineStream has a unique product that helped us further optimize what was already a world-class operation. We look forward to working with LineStream to improve other aspects of our operation."
