Link's National Safety Month Campaign - "No Injuries Today or Tomorrow"
What is a campaign without a slogan? Link's National Safety Month slogan, "No Injuries Today or Tomorrow," was inspired by their commitment to reduce workplace injuries and cultivate a safety first work culture. The slogan was incorporated into the daily operations of Link's business communications including phone and emails. They also created "No Injuries Today or Tomorrow" temporary tattoos, pins, wristbands and safety equipment (PPE) for their employees to wear and promote their commitment to safety awareness.
June's activities included weekly safety contest submissions of: (1) Testimonial of what "No Injuries Today or Tomorrow" means to you, (2) Create a safety video, (3) Submit a safety selfie and (4) Create a safety rap video. The top 4 submissions for each weekly contest were selected by Link's Risk Management Team, and posted on their company Facebook page for friends, family and co-workers to "like." The number of "likes" determined First, Second, Third and Fourth place cash prize award winners.
Results
Link's recognition of National Safety Month was a huge success. After a full month of contests and acknowledgement programs, Link gave away thousands of dollars in cash prizes and increased awareness of workplace safety both on-site and in their offices. Their promotion of National Safety Month encouraged its offices to generate their own creative ideas to promote Link's commitment to safety. One of Link's branch offices hosted a Safety Picnic resulting in a large turnout of current and prospective clients appreciative of Link's continual support and recognition of National Safety Month.
Link was also able to increase their social media interaction by over 200% and gained over 100 new followers from the contests and safety content posted on their Company Facebook page. By making safety fun and standing out from traditional safety education programs, they were able to effectively encourage interest in safety education and spread safety awareness to their employees, clients and offices.
Although National Safety Month is over, Link is proud of the workplace safety culture that they have developed and plan to continue to promote and continuously communicate the importance of workplace safety to its employees, clients and field staff.
