Liquidation World Names New Chief Financial Officer

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2008) - Liquidation World (TSX:LQW) announces that Mr. Ken Wightman, MBA, CA, has joined the Company as Senior Vice-President Finance & Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Wightman is a seasoned financial executive having held CFO positions with a number of public and private companies, including retailers Laura Secord, Zellers and Staples/Business Depot.

Liquidation World President and CEO Jonathan Hill said: "Ken's experience in the retail sector coupled with strong public company experience makes him ideal for this role. He also brings technical experience in process and systems development that we expect will benefit our Company."

As previously announced, Liquidation World's incumbent CFO, Andrew Searby, had elected not to relocate to Brantford from Calgary, but will remain with the Company until the smooth transition of CFO responsibilities is complete.
