NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2011) - LiquidityBook, the market leader in buy-and-sell-side financial technology, further strengthening its leadership position with a key addition to the company's senior management team. A 20-year veteran in financial technology, Shawn Samuel will now assume the role of Senior Managing Partner, focusing on corporate strategy, operations and technology innovation.

LiquidityBook solutions are designed to help investment professionals at every stage of the trading process. The company's pre- and post-trade risk management tools ensure real-time compliance with all SEC and FINRA regulations. Additionally, Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Management Services provide a cost-effective means to connect order or execution management systems of all key players in the market. Solutions include those for FIX management, monitoring or outsourcing.

"We pride ourselves on offering some of the market's most advanced financial technology solutions," said Rick Goldenberg, Managing Partner, LiquidityBook. "Shawn brings a deep understanding of the financial technology marketplace to our management team. As we continue to focus on exceeding our clients' expectations, Shawn will expand our product and services offerings -- providing brokers/dealers and investment managers with the right tools to do their jobs more cost-effectively and efficiently."

Samuel brings to LiquidityBook more than two decades of experience in financial technology. Prior to LiquidityBook, Samuel was responsible for technology strategy at the Hubbard One business unit at Thomson Reuters. Samuel also served as Chief Technology Officer at Contact Networks, building and leading the technology team from a startup to the company's acquisition by Thomson Reuters.

With a deep background in complex information systems, Samuel also acted as Senior Software Engineer at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Additionally, Samuel served as key architect at i2 Technologies, where he acted as lead developer for the company's i2 EAI platform.

"I'm very pleased to be joining the LiquidityBook team," said Shawn. "Our solutions can help firms of all sizes trade more efficiently and cost-effectively, and I'm excited to help expand our platform and business to its full potential."

The LiquidityBook portfolio includes the market's premier Instant Messaging (IM) trading platform. All trade-related messages are easily converted into an auditable trail linked to the order management system. Simple and intuitive, the solution puts all necessary trading tools at the user's fingertips. The company's portfolio also includes order and execution management systems for both buy-side and sell-side traders. Both order management systems deliver robust support to Direct Market Access (DMA), while helping trading professionals become more proficient at executing orders for Equities, Options and Futures.

Beyond DMA, LiquidityBook delivers access to any destination in the market -- while maintaining its neutral platform -- to gain access to liquidity and optimize the execution process. Real-time pre- and post-trade risk management tools are available to ensure compliance with SEC and FINRA regulations. LiquidityBook also offers both FIX connectivity routing and management services -- creating an end-to-end solution that streamlines the entire trading process.
