LiquidPlanner Announces $1 Million in New Funding and Names Geoff Entress to Board of Directors

Alliance of Angels, Bellingham Angel Group and Other Strategic Investors Back Pioneering Online Project Management Service With New Round of Funding

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - June 22, 2009) - LiquidPlanner, online project management software for today's collaborative enterprise, today announced that it has secured $1 million in new funding from a variety of strategic angel investors from across the Northwest. The Seattle Alliance of Angels, the Bellingham Angel Group and Seattle angel investor Geoff Entress are among those who have contributed to this new round of funding. Included in this round is an investment from the new Alliance of Angels Seed Fund which directed $235,000 to LiquidPlanner -- the first investment since the Seed Fund launched in May 2009. The company will use these funds to support new sales and marketing initiatives and invest in product development. In addition, Mr. Entress will join LiquidPlanner's Board of Directors.

"LiquidPlanner provides a radically different approach to project management that distinguishes it from the dozens of other online project management applications that are currently available in the market," said Geoff Entress, a venture partner at Voyager Capital and executive committee member of the Alliance of Angels. "By fusing a robust set of collaboration features with its innovative scheduling and estimation engine, LiquidPlanner provides teams with a flexible, web-based tool that enables them to collaborate with other project stakeholders regardless of where they're physically located."

Since officially launching its commercial service last year, LiquidPlanner has signed up more than 200 companies that represent a wide spectrum of industries and businesses, from creative agencies, design firms, and IT consultancies to the energy, aviation, and telecommunications sectors. The company has also launched two major versions of its service in the past 12 months and was nominated as a Webware 100 product in the productivity category.

"Project management is no longer about managing schedules and being a task master," said Charles Seybold, co-founder and CEO of LiquidPlanner. "It's about empowering people with the right set of tools so they can be successful. We feel fortunate that in this economy we were able to raise the necessary capital that will not only help us improve our service but will also help our growing customer base meet its own project objectives."
