Little Mosque on the Prairie Starts Strong in 2008 With Show Set to Debut in the Netherlands, Belgium & Switzerland

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 19, 2008) - Little Mosque on the Prairie, the international award-winning hit CBC situation comedy which is currently broadcast in over 60 will begin airing in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland in 2008, announced Mary Darling, Little Mosque on the Prairie's executive producer.

Nederlandse Programma Stichting (NPS), known in English as Netherlands Public Broadcasting, and one of the Netherlands largest public broadcasting networks, will begin airing Little Mosque on the Prairie in early 2008. Both seasons one and two of the series were acquired from WestWind Pictures, the Toronto-based company that produces the series. The show will either be dubbed or subtitled in Dutch for the broadcaster's audience.

Little Mosque on the Prairie will also begin airing in Belgium on the premium pay network, BeTV. The show will be broadcast in English with French subtitles and will air on channels Be1, BeCine and BeSerie. The show will be available in Luxembourg and French-speaking Belgium. Both season's one and two have been acquired and will begin airing at a date to be determined by the broadcaster in 2008.

Season one of the show will also be broadcast in Switzerland (in English with German subtitles) on the Swiss broadcaster Schweizer Fernsehen, which will begin airing in April as part of the network's Swiss integration week.
