BREA, CA--(Marketwire - December 21, 2010) - Orange County shoppers seeking something new, different, and beautifully enduring for a special someone on their holiday gift list should take note that Liuli, China's renowned studio for glass art sculpture, jewelry and fine houseware, has just opened its first retail gallery store in Orange County at the Brea Mall, adjacent to Nordstrom on the first floor.

Exhibiting exceptional new works created for the upcoming Year of the Rabbit as well as many pieces of sculpture and jewelry popular in Asia, the new Liuli Gallery offers gift givers a new realm of stunning, distinctive gift possibilities to explore, adore, and acquire.

Luili, founded in Taiwan and now based in China, is known worldwide for reviving the ancient Chinese method of sculpting glass by lost-wax casting, a technique also known by the French term pâte-de-verre. Unlike works of blown glass, objects cast using the pâte-de-verre method can be formed with precise control over intricate details and color. Original sculptures by Liuli co-founder Loretta Hui-shan Yang can be seen in major museums in Asia, Europe, and the U.S., including the Corning Museum of Glass.
