Live Broadcast of the Simple Green 2006 U.S. Open of Handball a Success

Network Foundation Technologies' Revolutionary Online Distributed Broadcast Technology Used to Stream the U.S. Open of Handball

LOS ANGELES, CA--(CCNMatthews - October 27, 2006) - The 2006 U.S. Open of Handball, with total cash purse of $75,000, which included players from the United States, Canada and Ireland, was streamed live over the Internet from October 20th through 22nd via Network Foundation Technologies' revolutionary NFTPro distributed broadcast technology. This event marked NFT's second live streaming event in the world of pro handball, and signals a repeat customer with Jeff Kastner Productions.

Jeff Kastner of World Pro Handball, who organized the broadcast of the event said that NFT "technology has been a huge blessing." He then added that "it's a big thing for the sport that people can watch it live all over the world -- something we couldn't dream of a short time ago." The crowds were enthusiastic for this already energized event because of the added element of worldwide coverage. A case in point, NFT's technology afforded friends and family of the Men's Singles Champion, Paul Brady, the chance to watch the action from his home in Ireland.

Kiriki Delany, President and CTO of StreamGuys, added, "The U.S. Open of Handball provided yet another validation of NFT's unparalleled ability to deliver live online distributed broadcasts in a manner that exceeded our client's expectations."

Dr. Mike O'Neal, NFT's Founder and Chief Scientist, stressed that his company's technology can deliver high-quality video streams, of both live and pre-recorded content, to large online audiences at a low cost. "The fact that we showed, yet again, that under normal conditions that we can get 60 to 70 percent peak bandwidth savings for real customers is a victory." NFT President and Co-Founder Marcus Morton added, "The ability for a niche sporting organization, such as World Pro Handball, to broadcast matches throughout the world empowers such organizations to dramatically expand their audience size."
