LIVE FROM THE MET: David Lynch Foundation and Livestream Partner for Annual Celebrity Event

Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Clint Eastwood and Many Other Stars Come Together for "Change Begins From Within" Gala and Concert Offering Rare Live-Stream Glimpse at Historic New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art

NEW YORK, NY and HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwire - December 13, 2010) - The David Lynch Foundation (http://www.davidlynchfoundation.org) and DLF.TV (http://dlf.tv) are proud to announce their new partnership with Livestream (http://www.livestream.com), the leading live video destination and platform. To kick off the partnership, DLF.TV and Livestream will present the first-ever live-streamed event from New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Foundation's December 13th "Change Begins from Within" benefit. This live-streaming event offers a rare intersection of online and new media culture with one of the pillars of American high culture.

In addition to a celebrity roster of special guests that includes Clint Eastwood, Russell Brand, Katy Perry, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Donna Karan, Russell Simmons and, of course, David Lynch, Livestream's hosting of the benefit event will give millions of online viewers exclusive access to live streaming coverage of one of America's national treasures, the Met. The Met is one of the world's largest and finest art museums and its collections include more than two million works of art spanning five thousand years of world culture, from prehistory to the present and from every part of the globe.

"Livestream is fantastic for non-profits like us, because it makes it possible to spread the word about our cause to an unprecedented number of people, instantly," said Heather Hartnett, Director of Communications for the David Lynch Foundation. "This technology could be life changing for people who may have never otherwise known about us and could vastly benefit from our programs. With the world moving at a faster pace than ever, it becomes crucial to work that much faster to create peace. Livestream makes this possible."

Livestream, which has previously hosted live streams of the Academy Awards and the inaugural webcast of the Clinton Global Initiative, will carry both the benefit's international press conference at the Paley Center (Dec. 13, 11 a.m., EST at http://www.livestream.com/davidlynch), as well as the benefit gala (Dec. 13, 9 p.m., EST, http://www.livestream.com/davidlynch).

"David Lynch has always been a pioneer of video and uses new technology so creatively. We are thrilled to partner with his Foundation for this event, especially as it takes place inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a true national treasure," said Daniel Pacheco of Livestream.

Last year, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr launched the David Lynch Foundation's "Change Begins Within" global outreach to teach one million at-risk adolescents and teens stress-reducing meditation at an historic concert at Radio City Music Hall. Since then, nearly 150,000 inner-city students have begun utilizing these techniques to eliminate traumatic stress that undermines academic achievement and short-circuits lives. This year's event focuses on bringing such effective stress-elimination techniques to poor children, homeless adults and veterans.
