liveBooks Unveils Winners of First Annual "Exposure" Contest for Student Photographers

Company to Provide Free liveBooks|edu Photography Websites to Help Winners Create Professional Online Presence and Garner Increased Exposure for Their Work

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - July 8, 2008) - liveBooks, Inc., (www.livebooks.com) the leading provider of customized portfolio websites and marketing software for professional photographers, today announced the winners of the first annual liveBooks|edu Exposure contest. The contest, which garnered responses from student photographers at colleges and universities across the nation, featured three categories: photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography. The winners will each receive a one year complimentary liveBooks|edu website to help them showcase and market their work in photography. Each winning photograph will also be featured exclusively on the home page of liveBooks|edu for one month. The winners -- showcased at: http://www.livebooksedu.com/community/contest/winners.php -- are:

-- Commercial: Zach Andrews, The Art Institute of California, San Diego,
featured on the liveBooks|edu homepage for the month of July
-- Photojournalism: Jonathan Klein, City College of San Francisco,
featured on the liveBooks|edu homepage for the month of August
-- Fine Art: Scott Wheeler, Savannah College of Art and Design, featured
on the liveBooks|edu homepage for the month of September

Each submission was carefully examined for appropriateness to the category and if the photograph could stand alone as a single image. For fine art, judges were looking for concept and originality, whereas with photojournalism the image was required to have a story and an emotional impact. Commercial images were judged on originality, graphic impact and space for text to be placed over the image as would be done in an advertisement. The winners were selected by a panel of expert judges from the photo community, including:

-- Chase Jarvis, commercial photographer, liveBooks Ambassador
-- Erik Ulvestad, creative director, Gyro Intl., Europe's largest B2B
    Marketing agency
-- Jason Meagher, executive creative director, Gyro Intl., Europe's
