LiveIntent Closes $8 Million Series B Round Led by Shasta Ventures

Company Positioned to Take Advantage of the Huge Untapped Opportunity to Serve Real-Time Display Ads Into Emails Opened on Any Device

NEW YORK CITY, NY--(Marketwire - Sep 15, 2011) - LiveIntent, the only company that delivers real-time display ad serving within email on any device, announced today that it has raised $8 million in Series B funding led by Shasta Ventures. The B round also included Series A investors: Battery Ventures, First Round Capital and Grape Arbor VC. LiveIntent plans to use the funds for sales expansion, staff augmentation and technology development.

LiveIntent is the first company to deliver display advertising to an email the moment that email is opened. LiveIntent provides ad serving, DSP / trading desk and exchange capabilities. Additionally, advertisers and marketers can employ advanced targeting techniques at scale, without having to execute multiple buys on individual publishers. Using LiveIntent's technology, publishers can achieve 100 percent sell-through while dramatically simplifying their email ad operations, without changing email service providers.

The company also announced that Shasta Ventures partner Jason Pressman joins Satya Patel, Matt Keiser and William Raduchel as a member of LiveIntent's board of directors.
