WHAT:
The Living Green Expo, which attracts more than 20,000 people to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds each year, is one of the largest, most authentic events of its kind, with the distinction of being the largest zero-waste event* in the state. With hundreds of exhibitors, workshops and activities, the 11th annual Expo is designed to provide individuals and families with insights on how living green can be easy, can save them money and enrich their lives.

No matter where consumers are on the "green spectrum," the Living Green Expo has something for them, including:

  • A Bike Fashion Show featuring the latest fashions for active bicyclists concerned about what to wear when biking to the park, store, boardroom and beyond.
  • A Bike Rodeo that will test bikers' skills in the Drive Your Bike Course or finesse the fun of family bike rides with the Family Fairgrounds Tour.
  • Growing Up Green demonstrations on how to embrace sustainable living at virtually every level of life -- from infancy through adulthood.
  • Former WCCO-TV Anchor Don Shelby will share the adventure of building his new Green Path-, LEED- and GreenStar-certified home in Excelsior.
  • Entertainment including musical performances, cultural dance and drum groups.
  • Workshops each hour delving into the most topical and timely green subjects.
  • Good Food Stage with local and celebrity chefs demonstrating sustainable and healthy recipes, and experts offering tips on the perfect pantry, canning homegrown vegetables and more.
