LLX Provides Update of Port Brazil's Environmental Permitting

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL--(Marketwire - July 2, 2008) - LLX Logística S.A. ("LLX") (BOVESPA: LLXL3) announces to its shareholders and the market that, contrary to articles that have been recently published in the Brazilian media, the environmental permitting process of Port Brazil is on track and has not been affected or is currently suspended by any court or administrative decision.

There currently exist two outstanding lawsuits filed against Port Brazil's environmental permitting process. Critics to Port Brazil have not, to this point, been successful in court against LLX in their attempts to stay the environmental permitting process. In one of the lawsuits, all requests have been rejected by the courts and, in the other case, the state court of appeals has completely reversed the lower court initial injunction against LLX.

No further adverse development has occurred in any such lawsuits. LLX continues on track with its efforts to obtain licenses in due course and it does not believe that pending litigation will affect its permitting process. LLX has presented strong arguments before local courts concerning the legality of its permitting and has been successful in all attempts at defending its rights before Brazilian courts. Management will keep the market apprised of any significant development concerning its port projects.
