Cube Works Studio is about to unveil its largest creation, 'The Hand of God' using 12,090 Rubik's Cubes and making it Guinness World Record's newest record holder for 2010. The Hand of God is the centre panel from the world-famous Sistine Chapel. The finished piece is set to be completed for display during Toronto's world-renowned all-night art festival, Nuit Blanche and is the first step towards the Studio's next project: recreating the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel using over 250,000 Rubik's Cubes.

Currently located in the downtown's historic Distillery District, this is the second time the Toronto-based studio will break standing world records in this category.

'We want to push the boundaries of not only what can be done with a Rubik's cube, but also what can be done with art on such an immense scale' says creative director, Josh Chalom. 'Our goal with this latest piece was not only to recreate an amazing work of art with Rubik's cubes but also to create a monumental attraction that inspires and amazes people.'

The piece will be available for viewing on October 3rd at the Cube Works Gallery.
