Local Artillery Unit to Fire Gun Salute for Change of Command Parade

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 23, 2014) - Local army reserve unit 30th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, will be firing a gun salute in Uplands at Morrison Artillery Gun Park as part of their Change of Command ceremony on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 9:00 p.m.

One C3 Howitzers will be used for a gun salute which entails firing 4 rounds of blank ammunition at 10-second intervals. Residents are advised that this salute is purely ceremonial in nature and that at no time will safety or security be in jeopardy. Local residents may be alerted by the loud noise caused by the firing.
