Local Bands Reason to Rebel, Mean Dinosaur and Cordova to Perform at George Gore Memorial Benefit Concert and Art Show

Event to Benefit George's Two Young Surviving Daughters, 5-Year-Old Jaden and 7-Year-Old Kaely

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 17, 2012) - Local bands Reason to Rebel, Mean Dinosaur and Cordova are set to perform along with local artists Paul Knebels, Aurora Malady, Arne Hanson, Eric Yandell, Chris Blaikie and Liane Engstrom to raise money for the George Gore KissTrust to help pay for the college education of George's two surviving daughters.

A talented artist who touched many lives, George leaves his fingerprint on the world through the unique art creations he left behind. His artwork can be seen on the many iconic concert posters he created for the famous Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, California, as well as on album covers for many well-known bands throughout the years. George was also a talented tattoo artist whose work still graces the skin of hundreds of people all around the world.

"George was a kind and giving person, who touched the lives of so many in his 31 years on earth," said Luke Chandler, close friend and organizer of the benefit event. "He leaves us with many great memories and the deep desire to give back by celebrating his life and helping make a difference in his daughters' futures."

The event begins at 9 pm on Thursday, April 19th at Boar Cross'n, located at 390 Grand Ave. Carlsbad, CA 92008. Participating artists will donate a percentage of the proceeds any art sold to the children's KissTrust. Participating musicians will perform for free, and will donate a percentage of their merchandise sales. In addition, a raffle will be held using items donated by friends, local businesses, and celebrities, including UFC Fighter Brandon "The Truth" Vera.

The KissTrust was chosen because of its unique ability to set up a custom irrevocable trust without the need of a lawyer. The trust is set up in such a way that George's daughters may only use the money for the intended purpose of college, at the date specified in the trust. (
