Local Content Assurance Bureau Inc. Pre-Qualifies GP Joule's Ground Mount Racking System (With Habdank Technology) as CORE Domestic Content Compliant in Ontario

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2011) - The Local Content Assurance Bureau Inc. ("LCAB") announced today that it has issued a CORE certification pre-qualification to GP JOULE PV Canada Corp. ("GP Joule") for the production of its ground mount racking system that is using the technology of Habdank PV-mounting systems. This comes after a rigorous and independent review of GP Joule´s supply chain, manufacturing facilities and products. The CORE certification demonstrates that the GP Joule mounting system is produced in compliance with its domestic content requirements.

LCAB's Contributor to Ontario Renewable Energy Program (CORE Program) is an industry led, voluntary certification process developed to help Ontario manufacturers, suppliers, professional services firms, and individuals meet domestic content requirements set out by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) in the OPA's Feed-In Tariff Program (FIT Program).

This CORE certification pre-qualification required a detailed onsite review of GP Joule's supply-chain, sub-contractor operations and production facilities in order to verify a wide variety of aspects of GP Joule's production practices, capacity, documentation and techniques. Based on this detailed review and further analysis, LCAB can say with confidence that GP Joules' operations and contracted supply chain for the production of their ground mount racking system fulfill, in our opinion, the domestic content requirements set forth in the FIT Program, specifically with regards to activity 6 of Table 2 and Table 4.

"We are happy to report that all the different suppliers evaluated for domestic content passed our audits," said Etienne Lecompte, Managing Director of LCAB. "GP Joule has taken special care in selecting its suppliers with regards to their capabilities to deliver domestic content compliant components. The fact that they have chosen to pre-qualify their supply chain through our services demonstrate their willingness to maximize the domestic impact of their manufacturing in Ontario. This once again is a great demonstration of the positive impacts on the local economy of the Feed-in-Tariff Program."

Niclas Fritsch, CEO of GP Joule PV Canada Corp. said "We are always working with local and well selected suppliers to meet our highest quality requirements. To get the certification is for us on the one hand a proof of our high quality ground mounted racking system and on the other hand an important milestone in our efforts to support the growth of solar energy in Ontario. It was a pleasant and fruitfull experience working with LCAB. The comprehensive audit from LCAB will take care that the Ontario economy gets maximum benefit from the Feed In Tariff program and assure the quality of components of the Ontario PV market.
