Local Elections Canada Office for By-election in Roberval-Lac-Saint-Jean Open to Public

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 12, 2007) - The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, announced today that the local Elections Canada office is open for the by-election in the electoral district of Roberval-Lac-Saint-Jean (Quebec).

"An elector may contact the local Elections Canada office to add his or her name to the list of electors or to have corrections made to the list," noted Mr. Mayrand. "This office can also provide useful information about the electoral process."

In particular, electors may obtain information about the options available to them if they cannot or do not wish to vote on election day, Monday, September 17, 2007, or on the advance voting days - Friday, September 7, Saturday, September 8 and Monday, September 10.
