One $1 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers Ticket Still Remains


PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - May 16, 2011) - A local Marine claimed the ninth of ten available $1 million top prizes in the Arizona Lottery's $100 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers(SM) game.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, found $10 in his pocket when he stopped at a store in Yuma. He purchased one $100 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers ticket, which turned out to be a $1 million winner. The ticket was purchased at Barney's, located at 2381 S. Ave. B in Yuma.

He will receive the prize in a 20-year annuity, resulting in $50,000 a year before taxes.

The winner will deploy overseas within the next few months.

"It was an honor to award this prize to an active-duty Marine, a man committed to serving America as a member of our Armed Forces," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "We were all thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate this winner, and to know this win will positively impact his life."

$100 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers boasts more than $100 million in cash prizes, including 10 $1 million grand prizes. In total, there are more than 4.8 million prizes ranging from $10 to $1 million, including more than 391,000 prizes from $50 to $500 and more than 5,400 prizes from $1,000 to $50,000. One $1 million Cash Spectacular Scratchers grand prize ticket still remains.

$100 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers tickets are available at all retailers where Lottery tickets are sold. Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets.
