Local residents speak out against P3 in new video

ABBOTSFORD, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 31, 2011) - Water Watch Mission-Abbotsford has launched a new video online on The Future of Water in Abbotsford. The five-minute video features local residents and their views on the upcoming November 19 referendum to privatize water. The video also features the views of Council of Canadians spokesperson Maude Barlow and CUPE president Paul Moist speaking at a recent Abbotsford public meeting on water and the CETA international trade deal.

Water Watch Mission-Abbotsford interviewed former Chief Engineer Ed Regts for his views on the proposed project and includes clips of WWMA spokespersons Lynn Perrin and Janet Chalmers.

The WWMA video joins others being produced as part of a WWMA-sponsored It's Our Water! Video Contest (http://www.waterwatchma.ca/its-our-water-video-contest/) for area residents to produce short videos on the importance of water.
