FREDERICK, MD--(Marketwired - Oct 5, 2015) - Welocalize, global leader in innovative translation and localization solutions, today announced that Derek McCann has joined Welocalize to direct the Western United States Sales and Operations teams, reporting to EVP and General Manager of North America, Chris Grebisz.
McCann will define the strategic direction for client acquisition and the customer experience in the western region of the US, along with taking responsibility for the delivery of broad language services to Welocalize's global brand clients. He will lead regionally-based operations, program management and new business development teams, and Welocalize client retention programs.
Prior to joining Welocalize, McCann worked for Microsoft for more than 23 years, both in Seattle, Washington and Dublin, Ireland. In his latest position, he was Senior Director Internationalization and Localization with senior leadership responsibility for the Microsoft® Windows localization program. In his tenure, he managed worldwide localization teams in program management, testing, engineering and the global supply chain for Microsoft products.
