Location, Location, Location - CacheTown Delivers Augmented Reality Like a Boss

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 26, 2012) - Candy Lab has delivered CacheTown through the IDG Network at the prestigious DEMO conference held in Silicon Valley, California. CacheTown demonstrated how hyper geo-location based augmented reality can dramatically reshape how we shop, learn, play and discover what is around us. For brands, this application addresses the underlying function of consumer behavior by enhancing user experience with brands and simplifying their adoption through an engaging, non-intrusive game layer.

"Our mobile application is bringing marketers' promotions to life on mobile devices while driving highly-targeted local traffic to specific locations using its technology," says CEO and Founder of Candy Lab Andrew Couch. "This will be the disruptive technology that changes the way consumers interact with their environment."

Prior to DEMO, CacheTown was featured at San Diego Entrepreneur Day. The event's lead sponsor, Mike's Hard Lemonade, was branded in augmented reality by way of CacheTown. Ray Hivoral, the event producer, reports: "CacheTown was the go to app that our attendees could use to enhance the event's engagement and win real world rewards; it ended up adding a great deal to the overall impact of San Diego Entrepreneur Day."

In another beta launch, the Company worked with the El Paso New Car Dealer Association, GECU and UTEP Athletics for a month long CacheTown Challenge for a chance to win a new car. John Luciano, president of the El Paso New Car Dealer Association, said that "It was an honor for our 27 dealer franchises to be part of the first use of this technology in the USA and it got us in front of tens of thousands of people."

Developed for marketers' brand promotions, partners upload content and determine precise real-world locations where they would like their offers to appear. CacheTown displays these offers on mobile devices by super-imposing branded game pieces on the users' mobile device. This allows brands' content, messaging, and offers to appear as if they exist in the real world.
