Lockheed Martin Selects Extreme CCTV for New York MTA Security Upgrades

Contract valued at approximately C$920,000 to Extreme

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 23, 2006) - Extreme CCTV US Inc., a division of Extreme CCTV Inc. (TSX:EXC), the global leader in the design, development and manufacture of active-infrared night vision surveillance equipment, has been selected as a subcontractor by Lockheed Martin for a state-of-the-art Integrated Electronic Security System and Command, Communications and Control (IESS/C3) program for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

The MTA oversees New York City Transit, Long Island Railroad, Metro North Railroad and MTA bridges and tunnels. The IESS/C3 project is a major commitment by the MTA to combat terrorism. The subcontracted component for Extreme CCTV is valued at C$920,000, with product delivery commencing immediately. The IESS/C3 program will provide enhanced monitoring, surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and response capabilities at key MTA locations and assets.

Extreme CCTV's surveillance products will be applied at key locations throughout the MTA's transportation infrastructure, which serves more than 7.8 million people each day. Selected for their field-proven performance, reliability and long term cost-effectiveness, Extreme CCTV products will serve an integral role in fulfilling the counterterrorist objectives of the IESS/C3 program.

The contract is the largest single order in Extreme CCTV's history and validates Extreme's position as a key player in the security industry.
