Locution Systems, Inc. Announces "Go-live" of Its Fire Station Alerting System in Coral Gables

GOLDEN, CO--(Marketwired - Feb 10, 2014) - Locution Systems, Inc. (www.locution.com), the provider of the PrimeAlert™ Fire Station Alerting System for fire and EMS departments, announced that its PrimeAlert™ Fire Station Alerting System has been deployed and gone live in the city of Coral Gables, Fla.

The City of Coral Gables, Florida has three fire stations. They are using the OSSI Computer-Aided Dispatch System, and are using both the IP network version and the Radio version of the Locution Fire Station Alerting System. Coral Gables also has deployed Locution Systems' LED Reader Boards, Turnout Response Timers, and Colored Unit Indicator Lights in their fire stations. All three fire station are fully zoned, utilizing Locution Systems' ZoneTracker™ zoned fire station alerting technology. Zoned fire station alerting routes dispatch information and fire station alerting precisely and only to the responding fire/EMS unit, allowing the rest of the fire station personnel to sleep through the night. ZoneTracker mitigates both stress and sleep deprivation, both of which have been proven in medical research to cause health problems ranging from high blood pressure and depression to cardiac arrest and cancer.

"We welcome the City of Coral Gables, Florida to the Locution system family of fire departments," said Glenn Neal, president and founder of Locution Systems. "The Locution Fire Station Alerting System has been proven in the field since 1993, and currently is serving and protecting more than 30 million people throughout North America," he said. "The powerful technologies we offer for fire station alerting will help achieve faster response times, and reduce stress for dispatchers and first responders."
