LogicMonitor Introduces Free NetFlow Network Monitoring in Conjunction With IT Nation 2013 Sponsorship

NetFlow Capabilities Added to LogicMonitor's Cloud-Based Performance Monitoring Platform

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 13, 2013) - LogicMonitor, the leading cloud-based IT infrastructure performance monitoring solution, today announced free NetFlow network traffic monitoring along with special service provider pricing to enhance the use of its platform by Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). LogicMonitor's NetFlow functionality and new service provider pricing model will launch in conjunction with the firm's sponsorship of IT Nation 2013.

NetFlow, sFlow and JFlow (collectively referred to as "NetFlow") are industry standard network protocols for monitoring network traffic. The LogicMonitor Collector receives flows from network devices, and in accordance with LogicMonitor's lightweight architecture the data is pushed to the cloud for storage and analysis. LogicMonitor off-the-shelf NetFlow performance metrics include top flows to/from the device, top endpoints, top applications, and bandwidth data that can be displayed per interface or per device. LogicMonitor is offering integrated NetFlow functionality free for at least the duration of 2013 for current LogicMonitor customers.

"NetFlow monitoring is a natural extension of our powerful server and IT infrastructure monitoring for customers wanting to take the first steps toward instantly analyzing or troubleshooting network performance," said Steve Francis, Founder and Chief Product Officer, LogicMonitor. "LogicMonitor users have always been able to easily monitor how much network traffic exists, but the addition of NetFlow allows users to see what the traffic consists of. Because this data is visible in LogicMonitor along with performance data from the rest of their infrastructure, such as storage latency and router performance, it enables customers to better understand and identify the critical network devices, users or services that need the most timely attention."

Customers using LogicMonitor's new NetFlow monitoring functionality are having great success analyzing specific traffic and quickly resolve issues. According to New Jersey-based Atlantic Metro Communications CTO James Cornman, "We call on LogicMonitor's NetFlow monitoring to facilitate rapid analysis of network performance issues such as slow response times, high throughput or even DDoS attacks. LogicMonitor's comprehensive performance monitoring capabilities provide us visibility to customer network performance issues without the hassle or expense of multiple monitoring tools."

LogicMonitor will also unveil new service provider pricing at this week's IT Nation event in Orlando.

"Advanced MSPs and Cloud Service Providers alike count on LogicMonitor as a key tool to enable their offering advanced services and managed NOCs," said Kevin McGibben, CEO, LogicMonitor. "A performance monitoring platform is quickly becoming one of three key tools in the advanced MSPs toolset, along with the PSA and RMMs. Our new service provider pricing allows MSPs that monitor core equipment, or integrate performance monitoring into their cloud and co-managed IT product offerings, to expand the power of LogicMonitor by deploying it widely. Providing performance trending and quicker troubleshooting for all of their datacenter devices along with any customer-side servers, network, storage and virtualization allows service providers to focus on delivering a high level of service while retaining and growing profitable customer relationships."
