PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Nov 3, 2015) - Lombard International, a global leader in wealth structuring solutions, today announced two senior appointments that will accelerate the company's U.S. growth and enhance their product offerings targeting family offices, private banks, and institutions. In their new roles, John Tyers will serve as Executive Vice President, Head of Institutional Sales, and Virginia Klein will serve as Senior Managing Director, Product Development and Investment Solutions.

"The appointments of John and Virginia support our ambitions for U.S. growth and demonstrate our commitment to building a world class investment platform offering greater choice and flexibility," said John Hillman, Executive Chairman of Lombard International. John Tyers Appointed Executive Vice President, Head of Institutional Sales
Tyers has more than 22 years of experience in sales, sales management and business leadership, driving growth and leading wealth management businesses. At Lombard International, he will be charged with building out the U.S. institutional sales team and growing the overall market for wealth structuring solutions utilizing life insurance and annuity structures.

"There is a continual need for ultra-high net worth advisors to bring unique value to their clients. I am energized to build out our team and begin to share with advisors and family offices how their clients can benefit from these bespoke investment and wealth structuring solutions," said Mr. Tyers. "Lombard's private placement offerings combine simplicity, low fees, transparency, and sophisticated investments that can help investors grow and transfer wealth more effectively."

Most recently, John was the Southeastern Regional Head of the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch where he led the firm's boutique ultra-high net worth wealth management business. At Lombard International, she will be responsible for the alignment of the investment product set with the needs of ultra-high net worth clients and their advisors.

"Alternative investments are core holdings of ultra-high net worth families," said Ms. Klein. "I am very pleased to be at Lombard International and excited to leverage my alternative investments experience in helping our clients access these critical investments in a tax efficient way. As more asset managers and advice providers understand the unique benefits of this type of wealth structuring, we hope to strengthen our position as a key partner, educator and solution provider."
