Long Island Board of Realtors, Inc. Partners With Ronald McDonald House to Support the "House That Love Built"

LONG ISLAND, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 5, 2006 -- For Gil Picard, President, and Marian Fraker-Gutin, Past President of the Long Island Board of Realtors®, Inc. (LIBOR) and its membership, selling homes is their business. But LIBOR members are "more than Realtors®" -- especially when it comes to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. "The House That Love Built" just received a big hug from Realtors® as LIBOR announced its partnership with Ronald McDonald House to support the nonprofit organization on Long Island for the upcoming year. The announcement was made at the recent Board of Realtors 18th Annual Educational Conference and Trade Show attended by over 700 Realtors®, the largest conference held by LIBOR to date.

In addition, Ronald McDonald House was chosen as the recipient of all donations raised at the conference. "We are very grateful and appreciative for the ongoing support our program continues to receive from LIBOR and its members," said Silvana Gullo, Executive Director, Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. "The support we receive from Realtors® here on Long Island means so much to the children and families that rely upon our services in their time of need," added Gullo.

Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children undergoing critical medical treatment in area hospitals. The House provides a comfortable and supportive environment, helping families through their most difficult time. LIBOR has a number of fundraising events planned that members will be hosting in upcoming months. Gil Picard says that he expects the relationship between Ronald McDonald House and LIBOR to continue and grow as more Realtors® become aware of all that Ronald McDonald House brings to communities between Manhattan and Montauk and throughout the world. "Although the Ronald McDonald House is not directly related to our industry, the chemistry between this charity and the real estate community is one filled with energy and passion and as we foster this relationship both organizations will reap positive results," added Picard.
