Long Island Mortgage Bank, Lend America, Saves California Family From Eviction as Sheriff Is Taking Possession of Property

MELVILLE, NY--(Marketwire - December 30, 2008) - Lend America, a Long Island mortgage bank, recently saved a California family from foreclosure. As the Sheriff was knocking on the door of the home where Terry and Susan Cook reside with their two children, asking them to vacate, their Lend America Mortgage Specialist stopped the eviction process by speaking to the Sheriff over a cell phone.

Documents stating the Cook's approval for H4H, Help for Homeowners, were faxed to the Sheriff's office from Lend America. H4H is a government-backed direct-to-consumer outreach platform that provides structured refinancing to the borrower by first addressing the borrower's current mortgage and seeking cooperation from the present mortgagee.

"Terry and Susan Cook initially owed their lender $491,000 and we refinanced them for $240,000," stated Lend America Mortgage Specialist, Clyde Ward.

Lend America stopped foreclosure on Terry and Susan Cook's home and saved them $250,000 off the principal balance.
