Long View Provides Drilling Update

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 31, 2006) - Long View Resources Corporation (TSX VENTURE:LRC) ("Long View", the "Company" or the "Corporation"), is pleased to advise that drilling operations were successfully completed at the Ingoldsby 2A9-35 horizontal re-entry and Ingoldsby 3D8-35 horizontal well. Both wells encountered oil stained, porous Frobisher pay, with free oil in the samples, and excellent penetration rates. The Long View Ingoldsby 9-35-3-32W1M central battery and disposal system will process fluids from the two wells. Long View holds a 100 percent interest in the Ingoldsby property.

Road bans are presently in effect in the Ingoldsby area, and as a consequence, the movement of rigs and equipment on and off-lease has been severely restricted. The Company anticipates being able to announce production rates from the two wells once trucking restrictions are lifted, and access for equipping is permitted.

The Company is also pleased to advise that the 2D seismic program completed on its exploratory property in western Saskatchewan has yielded three amplitude anomalies, and one structural feature which is typically indicative of a thick channel sand system. Long View intends to follow-up with closer-grid 2D seismic over the features. A drilling program will be designed for fall 2006 commensurate with delineation of the features with the closer-grid seismic program.
