Long View Updates Company Production

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 14, 2005) - Long View Resources Corporation (TSX VENTURE:LRC) ("Long View" or the "Company") announced today that its three recently-drilled southeastern Saskatchewan wells have been completed and tested, and that production operations have commenced. Including onstream production additions from the new drills, Long View estimates its current total production to be approximately 420 barrels of oil per day net to the Company. One well is presently producing on a restricted pumping cycle with a fluid level near-surface.

Kevin Patterson, President and Chief Executive Officer commented, "Long View's current production rate of 420 barrels of oil per day represents a 438% increase over the average production rate of 78 barrels of oil per day reported in the Management Discussion and Analysis for the interim financial statements as at June 30, 2005. Our recent amalgamation with Wedona Energy Inc. and Wedona Energy II Inc., combined with the results to date of our 2005 drilling program, has resulted in significant additional production and cashflow for the Company, and we look forward with enthusiasm to continuing to build Long View." John Styles, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer added, "we are very pleased with the results from drilling in our core operations areas, and look forward to further developing these properties, along with our new exploration areas at Saulteaux in western Saskatchewan and at Cecil in northern Alberta."
