LongBow Energy Corp. Announces Cased Well

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 27, 2005) -


LongBow (TSX VENTURE:LBV) together with its partners successfully drilled and cased a potential Cardium oil well in the Garrington area. The well is targeted for completion within the next two weeks. This well marks the second Garrington well for LongBow. The first well came on production in the spring of this year. LongBow holds a 20% working interest in both wells.

In the Sugden-Cold Lake area, LongBow participated in the drilling of a shallow gas well that was spudded last week. The Sugden well has been cased and is expected to be completed. LongBow retains a 20.8% working interest in Sugden.

LongBow and partners, at a recent land sale, successfully acquired 17 sections of land in the Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan area of which LongBow has a 20% working interest. Geological data on the area is currently being evaluated and drilling locations are expected to be determined over the next several months.
