Longfellow Benefits Joins Cristo Rey Boston High School's Work-Study Program


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 26, 2012) -  Longfellow Benefits has joined Cristo Rey Boston High School's work-study program. The Boston-based employee benefits brokerage and consultancy will employ Cristo Rey students this summer and during the coming school year.

Cristo Rey Boston is a small Catholic school in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood recently featured in The Boston Globe for sending every one of its 2012 graduates to a four-year college. The school says it "educates young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose and service." Every student at Cristo Rey works as part of the school's corporate work-study program that helps students pay for their education and gain experience.

The program leverages the resources of local business communities to make private, college-preparatory education affordable and give students an extraordinary experience that will shape the rest of their lives. The students will do a variety of office jobs at the firm.
