Longitude Health Chosen as Health & Wellness Service Provider in South Carolina Pilot Workplace Wellness Program Targeting Manufacturers

Collaboration With South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Control's Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention Division to Drive Health Improvement in the Manufacturing Sector

SOMERSET, NJ--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) -  Longitude Health, Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Division (HDSP) to provide a pilot workplace wellness program serving South Carolina manufacturers. The program will be delivered by Longitude Health, whose programs identify and modify health risks, increase productivity and reduce health expenses. The state-funded program is free for participating companies and their eligible employees and spouses.

The HDSP pilot receives budget support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of a broad set of strategies to reduce the impact of heart disease and related risk factors in the workplace. The Longitude Health program is an evidence-based, high-touch workplace intervention with Collaborative Care Support(SM), the company's proprietary physician oversight business process of guided self-management support for reduction of multiple risk factors.

The South Carolina pilot program includes:
